Nevada State Fair and Wells Fargo are sponsoring the Wiener Dog Races, a 50-foot dachshund sprint to the finish line. The event will be held at the Nevada State Fair’s indoor arena, Reno Livestock Events Center, Sunday, August 24, 2008. Check-in begins at 11 a.m. and the pre-trials begin at 1 p.m. The final race will be held immediately following the pre-trials. State Fair officials expect over 150 entries. Entry in the 2008 Nevada State Fair Wiener Dog Races includes free parking and free entry for 2 and contestant (dog), a $20 savings.
