NEVADA STATE FAIR HIRES NEW        

The Nevada State Fair has hired Certified Fair Executive John Owens as General Manager.  Owens started June 15th.  John was the manager of the Anderson County Fair and Expo Center in Anderson, South Carolina and, prior to that, was the Marketing Event Director for the Volusia County Fair in Deland, Florida.    He and his wife Sally moved here from Anderson, SC. And John just published the book “Opening Night” Creating Successful Events aimed at the Fair, Festival and Event industry.  A marketing/promoter and public speaker with an extensive background in both the entertainment business and electronic media; John will be a tremendous asset in the long term goals for growth at the Nevada State Fair.
